Writer-director Jared Cohn’s Home is a terrific paranormal hanging thread. A plain and effective eighty-two-minute event produced by Traplight Pictures takes place around the fictional playwright Russell Brody (pictured with Steve Richard Harris’s fascinating and emotional layering). Cohen’s story goes a year ahead at the opening of this boldly executed and atmospheric feature, following the sudden disappearance of Estella (the star of Katherine Flannery), the Hammam’s wife.
The figure comes to my head with a distressed Samantha (with Amanda Ruth Ritchie’s extraordinarily active) spending a limited time at Brody’s upstairs room in his house, discussing grief and ruin as he tries to recap his success. The last game.
